2017 Top Places To Eat In Huntington NY

The best places to eat in Huntington, NY

Huntington is one of the best little towns on Long Island. The Huntington village is known for its wide selection of posh restaurants and diverse cuisines. Since I’ve been a Chiropractor in this town for almost 10 years now, I’ve done my fair share of eating out for breakfast, lunch and of course dinner and have found some favorites along the way. If you’re like me, you might be looking for organic food and healthy options.

Stella Blue Bistro

Which is located right next to my office, has been a life saver when I’m in need of a quick breakfast or lunch. Their atmosphere is fun and the music is always great. The owners are sweet and accommodating. They happen to have the best coffee in all of Huntington too! Bee Organic is another great spot but be prepared to wait a bit but the food is worth it. Lots of gluten free options and vegan options in both places as well. Another cuisine I often crave is Mexican food.

Besito on New York Avenue

This is a local favorite and they don’t take reservations so get there early and put your name down because you’ll be waiting for a table with the crowd. It’s more of a dinner place for me but they do have some outdoor tables which is great for lunch time during the Spring-Fall seasons where you can eat and people watch. Their chicken avocado soup and fajita tacos are delicious and the guacamole for the table is a must. If you’re looking for a more quiet, authentic Mexican place, Oaxaca is right across the street and has amazing food and excellent service. They will make you feel right at home and if you’re lucky, you’ll get some free apps and desserts with your meal!

FH Rileys

Next to Besito is one of my favorite American restaurants in the area, FH Rileys. The Autumn Harvest salad is flavorful and their sandwiches never disappoint. If you want the best macaroni and cheese in town, you must go here! You will thank me. Swallow, up the road is also fantastic but it is rather noisy so if you’re looking for a date place, I wouldn’t go here. Fun for groups though and the menu changes from time to time and it’s always good food.

A great date night place is Bin 56

Which is a wine and tapas place. It’s tiny inside so you have to make a reservation and there are mostly bar height tables and one or two areas with comfortable chairs that you can sit and enjoy a nice meal and great wine from different regions. The food is always wonderful. I also absolutely love Sapsuckers on Main Street. It’s a cozy American fair place with a great beer selection and the mallet burger is probably one of my favorite burgers in Huntington. Another favorite burger of mine can be found at Honu. Honu can be quite the scene, as it turns into a club on Friday nights I believe. There is a big bar scene there where the locals hang out after work but the restaurant overall is large and they have a private room upstairs for private parties which I’ve been to and they’ve always done a great job with food and service.

I can go on and on for days about more restaurants since there are so many to choose from but hopefully this information gives you some ideas. Hope you enjoy the town of Huntington as much as I do!
